Introductory Post
My name is Hana and I am a senior, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business Admin. I’m set to graduate in Fall 2024. I am located in the Silicon Valley, CA (PST time zone). This is my first time writing a blog post (or even having a blog)! I have a German Shepherd/Australian shepherd mix named Darwin who is a very high-energy, intelligent pup. I love taking him on beach trails and hikes with my fiancé. I enjoy oil painting, hot Pilates, and cooking in my spare time. My interest in computer science was sparked when I moved from Sacramento to the Bay Area and met my best friend 3 years ago. As a successful 24 year old data scientist, her love for learning and creating new solutions inspired me to seek a profession that would give me the same feeling. I love to create, am interested in solving solutions hands-on, and a love a constantly changing field to do that in. I was also inspired by fiancé, who is a founder of multiple real estate tech startup, to pursue coding in addition to my business background. He inspires me daily through his business leadership and intimate knowledge behind the scenes of making the product(s) work. I love working alongside him and would like to move into a space where I am capable of helping him on the tech side of things too. I am currently working in his new startup as the person in charge of business development. I interact with all of our employees and would essentially be classified as a Director of Operations. I am slowly beginning to move into web design but ultimately would love to be involved as a full stack programmer in addition to my role in Operations. I’m excited to learn more in this course!
