After more than four seasons in Portland, the popular Family Business 360 breakfast series is heading north. The historic Seattle Yacht Club will host two events this Spring, with the first on February 22, titled “Effective and Efficient Succession Planning in an Era of Tax Uncertainty.” Experts from Seattle law firm Garvey Schubert Barer will lead a presentation on succession strategies and what family firms can expect in the wake of recent tax legislation.
The Seattle events mark the first time the series has been offered outside of Oregon. “This is a major opportunity for Seattle area family companies to tap into the wealth of information and best practices developed by the longest standing university-based family business program in the country.” says Christian Schiller, Managing Director of Cascadia Capital LLC and AFBP Advisory Council member.
Families wishing to attend can register online. Registrations are $45 each, with a 25% discount for two or more. Attendance is limited to business-owning families, family members, and key personnel.
