UM Extension Hiring: Tourism Extension Educator

profile-photo-umntourism-96x96-jpgUniversity of Minnesota Tourism Center seeks an 80% time educator to work with Minnesota communities and the tourism industry to develop tourism opportunities through education and community development programs. The educator will have statewide responsibility to support programs, applied research and outreach for the center. The educator will be based in the Tourism Center on the St Paul campus or at a regional center to be determined. Tourism Center educators use research-based programs and scholarly/scientific research to help communities and the tourism industry make informed decisions that strengthen and sustain tourism efforts. The educator will develop, deliver, teach and evaluate Tourism Center programs such as customer service, festival and event management and tourism development.  Candidates need a master’s degree and two years of related work experience.
