To encourage and support innovation throughout our organization, we are launching an Innovation Award Program for the Division of University Outreach and Engagement.

We hope you will find this an opportunity to try something!

Here’s how it works:

  • Form your team. Teams must include a partner from outside of the OSU Extension Service or Open Campus
  • Innovation Award pitches are due July 1
  • Submit pitches as a two-minute video link
  • Address the criteria mentioned in the award program video announcement
  • Send the video, or link to video, to Jeff Sherman (jeff.sherman@oregonstate.edu)
  • Videos can be made from phones, cameras, the built-in camera on your computer, screen capture, drones—whatever works for you! Creativity is encouraged
  • Pitches will be evaluated by the O&E executive team, the O&E Collaborative, and our Extension iTeam, according to Innovation Indicators (attached)

If you would be interested in hosting the OSU 150 Trivia game at your county fair this year when Benny comes to visit, please let Jill Wells know.

Extension Annual Conference Bowling Night

The Extension Annual Conference Bowling Night at the Memorial Union, is Tuesday, November 15, 2016!!!

The Memorial Union Bowling Room is reserved from 7pm-9:00pm so we will have plenty of time to play and celebrate the winners.

Going outside tradition, this year we will have a healthy alternative rather than pizza. When you email me your team, name, etc. Please let me know of there are any dietary restrictions. I will be ordering platters of Subway sandwiches and providing water and Ice Tea.

The cost will be $15.00 per person and you can pay when you register online through Idealogic.

I will need to collect the trophies from last year’s competition before conference. If you are coming to campus any time before conference, and you can bring your teams trophies, please drop them off with Amanda Bielenberg in Ballard 108.

It will be up to you and your team to WIN THEM BACK!!

Annual Conference Registration will start sooner than you know! Please RSVP to me your team name and players, so I have an estimate head count ahead of time.

Fall Term 2016

Classes start at OSU on Wednesday, September 21st, but students are already exploring campus getting ready for the new year. The population of Corvallis will grow exponentially over the coming weekend, so if you were planning to visit campus this would be the week to do it before Corvallis gets too busy.

Central Oregon will also see some new term excitement.  The new OSU -Cascades in Bend will open for classes this fall.
