2017-2018 Leadership Development Program for Executives Cohort
We are now taking applications for the 2017-2018 Leadership Development Program for Executives Cohort, and we encourage you to submit yours!
The Leadership Development Program is for employees in the Division of University Outreach and Engagement, the Division of Extended Campus, and the College of Agricultural Sciences. Applicants should have significant professional experience within their assignment and a documented record of performance that indicates potential success in an executive leadership position. In addition to completing the online application, applicants must submit a biography and references from:
1) Immediate supervisor
2) Program leader or unit director
3) A peer
*Note: If your immediate supervisor is also your unit director, only two letters are required
Applications are due August 15th. Please view the attached application information or visit http://outreach.oregonstate.edu/initiatives/leadership-development for full details and dates. We look forward to hearing from you!
WealthWorks rural community development program evaluation
Rural Development Initiatives’ Amy Hause and OSU Extension’s Mallory Rahe recently completed an evaluation of the WealthWorks rural community development program. Results from the evaluation can be read here (full report here) and will be shared at an event Thursday July 20th from 12-3pm in Garibaldi. Extension agents who have an interest in rural community development, a value chain approach to small business/entrepreneurship, or a specialization in seafood marketing/local processing are encouraged to attend. Interested? Contact Mallory.email@example.com, (541) 737-1335.

Downloading OSU Branded Powerpoint from Box
Thanks to Patty Skinkis, we have some tips on downloading the OSU Branded PowerPoint templates:
When the link opens in Box, you will need to download the file rather than just clicking on it (look for the download button in the upper right corner of the screen). Once the file is downloaded, you should be able to open in it PPT. If that doesn’t work, please contact Carson Dunlap, firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-737-5052.
Model Release Reminder
If there are people in your photographs, videos, podcasts, or other media and they are recognizable, it is best practice to get their permission in writing to use their likeness.
At the moment, Spanish versions are not available; we will be encouraging University Marketing to provide these as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
Ag Is America Video
The video is part of a system-wide effort to support advocacy for additional funds in federal budgets, and we are heavily focusing on Oregon to get the word out.
If you haven’t already, or even if you have, please share our Ag Is America video on your social media platforms, on your website, and through eNewsletters. Below is sample social copy for you to use:
