The companies I chose to view are Hilton, American Express, and CarMax. These companies practice HR in many different ways. Hilton is a leading global hospitality company so their whole company is based on HR and their whole company is based on the idea that people are treated like family. American Express, on the other hand, does a great job in adapting to their customers and businesses they work with. A company like CarMax sells cars so their HR department is one of the best where they try to focus on a great customer experience.
Personally, I would like to be the best manager. I want to have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the industry or field in which I work in. I want to be able to motivate and inspire my team, provide guidance and support, and facilitate collaboration and teamwork. I want to be the model for many teams ahead of me. I think the most challenging part of being a manager is managing conflict within the team and recovering from that. I think that with time and experience that can be handled.
After reading the outlines and presentations I have seen that people often miss the fact that HR helps to foster a positive workplace culture, promoting diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement. These factors contribute to the success and growth of an organization, making HR a crucial component of any business strategy and what makes a business thrive internally and also in the publics eye when it comes to recruitment.
To continue that HR is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent, as well as providing training and development opportunities to ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs effectively and efficently. HR also oversees compensation and benefits, ensuring that employees are fairly compensated for their work and that they have access to the resources and support they need to thrive. This helps people enjoy the place they work as well as inclines people on the outside to work for that company.
