Estacada has the motto “Close to everything, but away from it all”. It has this motto because it is far enough away from any major city to make you feel like you have gotten away from big city life, but close enough to not make the drive to those major cities unbearable. Estacada is located approximately 30 minutes from Clackamas, 45 minutes from Portland, and 45 minutes from Woodburn. This makes Estacada a great town to live in and commute to a job in Portland.

Estacada is located on the Clackamas River. This means there is great fishing for Salmon, Stealhead, and Trout just about year round. There is also Promontory Lake where there is a boat rental store. This lake is where many of the locals go to hang out, wake board and tube during the summer once the river warms up enough.
