WEEK 3

This past week we focused a lot on empathy. Although this was a word that we hear quiet often, I am not sure how much time I have taken and actually practice true “empathy”. I implimented this idea while I continued to interview different studetns for our empahty project. I tried really hard to ask compelling questions regarding why they said what they said. I focused on listening to thier tone, gestures and surroundings to gain more insight on who they really are.

This weeks cards are based off my experiences and the main points from this weeks readings:

WEEK 2

Week 2 reflection….This week was eye opening. While I am still getting fully immersed into this course and trying to understand the idea of “design thinking”, I have been inspired by the readings and ted talks from this week. One of my favorite quotes was “light one candle with another.” I really like how Chapter 3 Improvising and Limitations dove into the idea of lowlight may spread without its original source being diminished. I feel like this example is applicable to all aspects of my daily life.

The following cards of inspiration quotes were taken from the following sources:

WEEK 1

Week 1.

To be honest, I had no idea what this course would be about and until I really dove into the readings and texts, I slowly have begun to understand more about “Design Thinking.” To be compelety real with myself, the first brainstorming activity we did completing the entire deisgn process really put me on edge. These activies and process are out of my fimilarity, took way to long , and are more or less out of my educational intrestest. However, the readings and documentaries from this week were eye opening and I was able to grasp more of a real world look into the implementation of the “thinking processes” we have disccussed.

I am not much of an artist, so I believe that most of my cards each week will be used to display the touching, most important ideas that stood out to me each week. Writting them out helps implement them into my brain. I have found that creating these cards help me organzie my thoughts and main ideas from each week.

This weeks inspiration came from the following sources:
