If you belong to a department on campus, a government agency, or a nonprofit that needs extra supplies for your offices, visit the Surplus warehouse (a.k.a. the OSUsed Store) between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Mondays through Thursdays.

The store carries computers and computer accessories, furniture (chairs, desks, file cabinets, tables, bookcases, etc.), office supplies, scientific equipment and glassware, dishes, décor, and so much more.  Some common items purchased through this program are:

  • Staplers and file organizers
  • Plates and mugs for a break room
  • Power cords
  • Water bottles
  • Binders, folders, and books

The store also has some unique items departments may want to have on hand, such as:

  • Reading glasses
  • Yearbooks
  • Aquariums

The store’s free office supply program was instituted to encourage sustainability, reduce department expenses, and keep OSU items at OSU.  To participate, pick out any items you need that are priced at $5 or less, with a limit of $20 total per visit.  These items must be a cash sale or marked with white price tags.  Cash sale items are not individually marked, but rather identified with a yellow sign listing the price.  Make sure to visit the front desk to log these items and their dollar value before you leave.  Between February and July 2018, departments attained, for free, more than 150 items that added up to a value of $1,120.

Every department can benefit from this program, so check out the store soon!
