Are you a commuter interested in saving some gas money? Do you regularly travel between Corvallis and Springfield/Eugene?
Please join us this Friday, November 18th at 12:00 p.m. at the Student Sustainability Center for a vanpool formation meeting to discuss the details for putting one or two new vanpools together. This meeting will focus on arranging convenient pick-up and drop-off points. Van sizes range anywhere from 7-passenger minivans all the way up to 15-passenger vans.

Commuters driving alone from Eugene/Springfield to Corvallis in a car averaging 21 mpg are spending about $454.40/month for gas, tires, and maintenance. If fixed costs like insurance, financing, and depreciation are included, it adds up to about $827.00/month. Not to mention any parking fees!

So for your commute, consider vanpooling-it saves money, helps the environment, and reduces stress. This opportunity is supported by Drive Less Connect, OSU’s new online rideshare system.
