PROGRAMSPEAKERSWORKSHOPS & PANELSTOURS • STUDENT POSTERS

Student Posters

Poster abstracts: Submitted poster abstracts.
Thank you for presenting a poster!  We are looking forwarding to hearing about your work. This is a great opportunity to network with your peers, with grad students and professors from local universities, and with scientists from industry.  Get feedback on your work, learn about the work of others, and get your work known in the community.  Add this poster presentation to your resumé and curriculum vita. If you have any last-minute changes, please email MacKenzie Lenz at cuwip2016@physics.oregonstate.edu.

Other Information:

The poster session is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Set up your posters on Saturday morning at breakfast time, so bring them with you to the conference first thing in the morning. They will be displayed all day, and and you can stand by your poster during the poster session (but do take some time to explore the other posters and the other resources).

Preparing your poster:

The approximate size of all posters should be 34 by 40 inches; if you have already printed a poster and it is much larger please include this information in your abstract e-mail. Here are some resources that may help you design an effective poster and give guidance about presentation:

Some of the organizations represented at the World of Physics event will have additional information available at tables set up at the poster session on Saturday.  Some of them will have information for you; others may be interested in recruiting. Bring a resumé (for companies) and/or a CV (for academic institutions) to share with them.  You will receive some business cards in your registration packet, but if you have your own, bring those with you.  Many of the workshop leaders and panelists will be at the poster session and will be happy to talk to you – please seek them out.
