The Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (SCAVMA) third annual Ride the Heart of the Valley bike ride fundraiser consists of two bike rides, a 12-mile ride and a 30-mile ride, to raise money to benefit both the human and veterinary medicine fields. The suggested donation is $30, but participants are encouraged to raise more. The grand prize for the individual who raises the most money this year is a Kindle. After the ride,there is a party with great food, music, and some awesome raffle prizes, including a one-hour massage and gift certificates to various Corvallis restaurants. The event is April 23; the deadline for pre-registration is April 15.
