Neighborhood Parking and Traffic Mitigation

The Collaboration Project — through its work group on Neighborhood parking and traffic mitigation — will work with community members, neighborhood residents, OSU stakeholders and traffic consultants to recommend effective solutions to traffic and parking issues generated by the growth of Oregon State.

The Neighborhood Parking and Traffic Mitigation work group is tasked with the following goals:

  • Retain a transportation consultant to conduct a parking and transportation study.
  • Identify problem areas and collect data regarding traffic volume and parking utilization.
  • Evaluate and recommend opportunities to better manage traffic volumes and parking impacts.
  • Recommend holistic solutions to address both traffic and parking problems, such as expanded transit services, park-and-ride lots, satellite parking, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle programs and features.
