University-community planning for growth
Wednesday night’s event was covered in the Gazette Times in an editorial that noted:
the agreement between OSU and the city gives us the best opportunity we’ve had in years to really make some progress on the growing pains that come with continued growth at this community’s signature institution.
During the discussions that took place, several new issues were brought to light.
The Collaboration Project will work with community members, residents and OSU to recommend effective solutions to traffic and parking issues generated by the growth of the university.
The Collaboration Project will evaluate and recommend unique zoning, housing, density and code programs and standards that will minimize growth impacts around the Oregon State University campus.
