On a sunny, crisp Massachusetts morning, R/V Oceanus is underway to her new home in Newport, Oregon. Several hundred well wishers came to bid farewell through the cacophony of horns, fireworks, raucous cheering, and band.

The ship will pass through the Panama canal on about February 4th arriving in Newport on about 20 February.
