Central Oregon is MARVelous

I'm the Superintendent of the Central Oregon Agricultural Research Center and County Director for the Jefferson County Extension office. My area of focus is vegetable seed, grass seed and peppermint. These specialty crops are grown by progressive growers and a seed industry located in the Madras area, east of the Cascade Mountains and north of Bend. This high desert, irrigated agricultural production area is ideal for high quality seed, particularly hybrid carrots. I'm also currently on the Western Society of Weed Science Board of Directors. Locally, I am a member of the Madras/Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
