As part of the Research Way Lab Building Renovation Project, a final crane pick is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. This pick minimally impacts current building tenants. We will coordinate with subcontractors and tenants in the building to ensure the safety of all workers during the pick. This pick will affect the Keck Lab for a very short period of time while we set an exhaust fan on the roof. Lab occupants will be asked to step outside the building while the crane is operating overhead for about 15 minutes. There will be no interruption to the SIGA office space for this crane pick. We will be picking from the north/east corner of the building at the loading dock.

As part of the Research Way Lab Building Renovation Project, a planned shutdown of the natural gas that currently serves the boiler room and two roof top units at the Research Way Lab Building will occur. The RTU’s are: RAC-3 provides heating and cooling to Lab 2038 area and will not affect any current occupants. RAC-5 provides heating and cooling to Lab 1169/1169A. With the warmer temperatures, this may not be an issue, but we do have a temporary work around for heating these spaces, should it be needed. This system should only be out of service on the heating side for approximately 2 hours on the day the subcontractor does the swap for this unit. The contractor will keep the 1169/1169A occupants informed on timing.
