All steam services will be shut down to Snell Hall, from Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30 a.m.- Thursday March 28 3:30 p.m., 2024, to replace multiple failed steam valves. This will affect all steam services building wide. Building occupants may notice air temperature fluctuations during this time and there will be no hot water.

As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project, testing of the fire alarm system and FDC System during the week of Spring Break (March 25 through March 28) will occur at Cordley Hall – East. Corvallis Fire Department will be on site testing the fire department connection and venting water from the roof of Cordley Hall – East on the afternoon of March 27th

All steam services will be shut down to Linus Pauling Science Center today, Thursday, March 21 from 1 p.m. through tomorrow, Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m. while a contractor replaces a failed steam pressure regulator.  Building occupants may experience some air temperature fluctuations but the backup boiler for the building will be operational during this time.

The North District Utility Plant will be shut down Wednesday morning, April 3rd, from 7am – 12pm to allow for an electrical contractor to replace recalled circuit breakers under warranty. This will affect chilled water delivery to ALS, Nash and Burt Hall and could cause some building temperature fluctuations.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, a section of the west sidewalk and bicycle lane on SW Memorial Place will be closed on Friday, March 22 from 5 – 9 A.M. The closures will be located between Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Student Health Center.

Three service parking spaces on the east side of Memorial Place will also be closed.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation project, the Fairbanks Hall West parking lot will be closed starting Thursday, March 21 through Friday, March 29 for gutter work on the building. All ADA parking spaces in the parking lot will be closed.

The sidewalks and walkways bordering Fairbanks Hall on all sides of the building will be closed in phases to allow for equipment to be maneuvered around the area. These closures will be intermittent. This includes the walkways on the north and west sides of Fairbanks Hall, the west sidewalk on 26th St.  and the north sidewalk on Jefferson Way.

Staff will be present in the area to help pedestrians navigate around the sidewalk closures. Pedestrians may use the east sidewalk on 26th St., the south sidewalk on Jefferson Way or the walkway west of the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center as alternate routes.

Access to the parking lot will be available for trash and recycling pickup.

The air handler in Richardson Hall will be shut down for maintenance March 21, 7:00 am – April 1, 2024 5:00 pm for replacement of coils and sealing the floor and pipes in air handler to prevent leaks. This will affect heat and cooling and building wide and cause reduced airflow and to labs during this time.
