As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project, asphalt paving work will be occurring near Cordley Hall on Wednesday, April 17. There will be two work zones for this project. One work zone will be on NW Orchard Ave., near the Cordley Hall loading dock. The second work zone will be on SW Campus Way, near the Cordley Hall south entrance.

There will be no traffic or sidewalk impacts associated with this work, but those in the area may notice an increase in vehicles, noise, asphalt odors and construction activity.

As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project, testing of the fire alarm system and FDC System during the week of Spring Break (March 25 through March 28) will occur at Cordley Hall – East. Corvallis Fire Department will be on site testing the fire department connection and venting water from the roof of Cordley Hall – East on the afternoon of March 27th

The North District Utility Plant will be shut down Wednesday morning, April 3rd, from 7am – 12pm to allow for an electrical contractor to replace recalled circuit breakers under warranty. This will affect chilled water delivery to ALS, Nash and Burt Hall and could cause some building temperature fluctuations.

NW Orchard Ave. will resume two-way traffic between NW 27th and NW 30th Streets starting on Friday, March 15 at 3 P.M. The street was previously limited to one-way traffic due to construction activity related to the Cordley Hall Renewal project.

As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project, standby generator testing and transfer switch testing will occur on Tuesday, March  12 from 6 am – 8 am. This work may result in generator noise in the area.


What do Cordley Hall residents need to do to prepare for this testing?
 Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Tuesday, March 12. If you have an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.
