Notice:  Scheduled Power Shutdown in the following buildings:

Effective Date(s): Saturday December 16, 2017 – Please note the various times

Pacific Power has scheduled a series of outages to address a few maintenance concerns.

1)            Replace cable from Coliseum sub-station to a vault due south of the sub-station.

2)            Replace cable and connectors from Dutch Bros to Gill Coliseum Vault.

To make the requested repairs an outage from 7am to 8pm is required. There will also be a few short duration outages to isolate the key circuits.

Due to emergency repairs of the dry sprinkler system & canopy the fire sprinklers in room 013 will be shut down December 11, 2017.  The fire sprinkler system in the rest of the building is operational. A second notification will follow when services are restored.

There will be intermittent traffic interruptions November 13-17 from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm to accommodate trucks delivering the precast sections for the steam tunnel. Traffic control flagging will occur at 30th Street & Jefferson Way and 35th Street & Jefferson Way intersections (View Map).  During this time there will possible traffic delays.

Pacific Power, our electrical utility provider, needs to perform maintenance in a utility vault. For this repair to happen they will need to shut down the electrical power that feeds the following buildings: Lab Animal Resource Center, Magruder Hall, Vet Research Lab & the Freezer Farm. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause, however this shutdown is necessary so Pacific Power can make the necessary repairs to ensure life safety and protect the integrity of the campus electrical grid.

The shutdown will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, 11/5/17 and the power should be restored by 12 p.m. on Sunday, 11/5/17.
