The air compressor for the east and center wings of the Oak Creek Building will be shutdown while the air dryer is tied into the system. The compressor will be shutdown July 6, 2017 from 7:00 am-2:00 pm. This could cause reduced cooling building wide. This will affect lab compressed air.

Due to the use of a crane to perform the necessary repairs on the fume hoods in Linus Pauling Science Center, several parking spaces on the south side of Linus Pauling Science Center will not be available. The closure will be from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on June 22, 2017 (View Map).

The steam will be shut down in Gill Coliseum from June 27th – July 31st, 2017 due to the 26th Street steam line replacement project. This will affect all steam services, includes heat & hot water building wide.

The fume hoods in Linus Pauling Science Center will be shut down for repairs to replace several failed motors in the exhaust fan system. Maintenance work on the lab exhaust fan system will be from June 21 7:00 am – June 23, 2017 3:00 pm.  All fume hoods will have low flow so they will be inoperable during this time.

As part of the Johnson Hall project, there will be a periodic shut down of one access door to Johnson Hall from June 19, 2017 through July 21, 2017. We are replacing all of the spandrel glass at Johnson Hall, beginning on the north side, working counter clockwise, for approximately one week per side.

To facilitate the reconstruction and expansion of the gravel parking lot west of the Motor Pool along Campus Way, all parking stalls will be closed for the duration of the project within the lot (June 12, 2017 – September 15, 2017).  There will also be closures to the adjacent sidewalks and access aisles for limited duration.  The access aisle to the Radiation Center will remain open, or the project will accommodate special deliveries.  Clark Meat Lab access will be provided as coordinated with the building manager, with pedestrian paths communicated to the public in advance of events and for normal business.  General construction noise and dust will be present during the lot reconstruction.
