Throughout the spring term, I have learned different topics which are deeply increased my understanding of the course. I found that I have studied some of them before in other classes, however, it did not get into so deep to explain all the stuff about recruitment. I found that the course was really interesting and helped me a lot for my future career. As I would like to be getting a position in Human Resources related.
What is the most important thing that you learned in this class?
I think that the most important and interesting thing we have discussion is the lecture on week 4 – designing recruitment ads & evaluating recruitment strategies. I think that was so important to me is because I found that I would like to get into the Human Resources position in my future career, if I would be able to learn more on recruitment, I think it could help for my interview.
It is important for a company to design a great and effective recruitment ads in order to find out and search for the great applicants. I believed that a great recruitment ads could attract a lot of great candidates to apply for the job.
In the lecture, I have learned about the characteristics of effective recruitment ads. I have learned that when creating a effective recruitment ads, I have to include salary information and company contact information, display company emblem and make it visually appealing, and avoid information that is “too good to be true” etc. Also, I have learned that the way to evaluating the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. There are several strategies including to look for number and quality of applicants generated by source, cost per applicant by source, and number of protected group members that applied/ were hired by source.
