Recycling/Surplus – October Repair Fair

October 22nd, 2012

Come to the Student Sustainability Center (738 SW 15th St.) on Monday, October 29 between the hours of 6:30 to 9:00 pm for the October Repair Fair.  Bring your broken items and questions; volunteers will help you learn how to repair your things (see list below for what’s on offer this month)! Save money, save natural resources.

This month, repair skills are offered for:
Bicycles
Clothing
Computers
Electronics (small items only, please)
Furniture
Guitars
Housewares
Jewelry
Vacuums

Repair Fairs are sponsored by Campus Recycling and the Student Sustainability Initiative, and will occur each month during the 2012-13 academic year.

    Sorry I missed your October event. I have a floor lamp that no longer works. I hope this type of item will be included in a future event.

    We’re sorry you missed it too, Naomi! We think we have some volunteers who could try working on lamps, so stay tuned to this blog for the announcement of the November Fair date!
