Question of the Week:

Are plastic to go containers accepted in recycle bins at OSU? (Hint: Check out our recent Tip of the Week blog post and/or online recycle guide.)

Karen is correct. No, to go containers are not accepted by our recycling hauler, so they cannot go in recycle bins at OSU. You have two options:

  1. Don’t use ‘em. Try dining in when possible, and carrying a compact reusable food storage container with you for to go meals and leftovers.
  2. Wash and separate them for special recycling. This plastic can be recycled if it is collected separately from your regular, commingled recycling. Either contact Campus Recycling to make arrangements, or bring this material to the First Alternative Co-op Recycling Center.
