Beware of unsolicited, suspicious sounding sales pitches, phone calls about renewal orders that were never placed, invoices for goods never ordered, and other phone scams from not-so-credible companies. Universities are prime targets for scamming operations so beware of those unsolicited communications from vendors, especially from those companies that you do not recognize as an OSU supplier. When faced with companies claiming that OSU owes money for goods or services you should always insist on valid written documentation of the purchase. Do not provide procurement card information or agree to pay invoices unless you are certain that a valid purchase has been placed.
