Sunday fun in the sun…

Sunday was a day of relaxation. In the morning some campers had visits with their families, while others spent the morning exploring Peavey Arboretum. In the Afternoon we visited Chintimini Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, then had a barbecue at Walnut Park.

Many families came to visit OSU Mission Control Sunday. Campers were happy to see their families, and are eager show off final projects Friday.

The "Sparred Owl" with this volunteer is a hybrid between the Spotted Owl and the Barred Owl

After the BBQ we had time to play and be kids. Even future scientists need free time!

The park was super fun! They had lots of time to play! The swings were my favorite thing to play on!

The BBQ that we had on sunday was so cool. We played a lot of games and we had a lot of fun. I just want to say hi to my family and Anival y mi tio Arnulfo.

it was awesome we got to run around and play games after a good meal. we got to sing a lot of songs and just be ourselves.

The Chintimini Wildlife center was awesome! I loved seeing all the cool animals and learning more about birds of prey! The barbeque was really fun and the hamburgers where great!

I loved family visit and wished the time was longer. I was excited to see my parents and enjoy the evening with them!

i had a lot of fun here too! it was just like a school field trip. u know? like with ur buddies and all. i ate burgers. that day i also went to the wildlife place i learned about skulls and owls and birds it was alot of fun.

I loved going to Chintimini Wildlife Rehabilitation. We got to see many awsome things like a turkey vulture and a Sparred Owl, which is a spotted and a barred owl. We had an awsome barbacue at Walnut Park and we played lots of games.

Luved that day!!!!!! It was sooo fun just hangin’ out! The sand at the park got in my eyes a lot though, ouch! The wildlife center was awaome to. I learned a ton about birds of pray.

LOVED the animals. LOVED the wave lab. LOVED the bbq. I think I loved everything. I AM a little sick of the food though. SOOOOO badly wanted to taste my dads food right now.Anyways we get to see Mr. Harris tomorrow. Sooo AWESOME.

This day was sooo much fun!!getting to see all of the different animals at the wildlife center was really cool.:) My two favorite parts were seeing the racoon cages and the Barn Owl that the keepers took out to show us. Going to the park after was also super fun. Then being able to see my mom and sister was probably the best part of the day. Thank god for the visiting day!! I miss them/you guys (if my mom and sister read this) soo much! anyways…I’m really looking forward to the rest of camp and being able to meet Dr. Harris tomorrow!! oh and mom if you read this reply to THIS BLOG not the other ones…always post on the newest blog its the only place I look.:P

hello everybody!! I also have some pictures of the animals we saw at Chintimini mom!! Did you know that turkey vulture’s vomit is so bad smelling, it wards off predators? They also urinate on their own feet to cool themselves off!! Wierd!!

That was fun, I liked the swings, they were awesome. The orange tang juice they had was really good. I liked the forest at the wildlife center too.

Having fun but can’t wait to see you! Later today we do the egg drop. I think I have a working design, but don’t want anyone else to see my design. thinking plane, crush-plate landing runners, scotch tape hammoc. see you friday!
