Tobacco users face serious health risks regardless of age or when they started using tobacco. But the good news is that improved health can occur in as little as 20 minutes after quitting. People who have quit using tobacco report having more energy, lowered stress (from lack of nicotine withdrawals), increased ability to breathe and exercise, experience less illness, and lower their risk of developing fatal diseases linked to tobacco use.
