Wednesdays @ Noon Concert Series: Seattle’s McFeron

July 8th, 2013

From OSU Summer Session Newsletter

The first two weeks of our Wednesdays @ Noon Concert Series were a major hit thanks to a pair of Oregon-based bands. This week, we’ll broaden our reach.

On Wednesday we welcome Seattle’s Ian McFeron to the OSU campus for a free show that will feature songs from his new album, “Time Will Take You.” The smooth-sounding McFeron is often compared to Bob Dylan.

A very different — but equally great — performance will follow on July 17, when Portland’s Pura Vida Band travels down I-5 to showcase their vibrant Latin sounds. The eight-piece group boasts musicians who hail from all over the Americas, and they play salsa, merengue and bachata.

All Wednesday concerts will take place on the brick mall on the east side of the Memorial Union (or in the MU main lounge if it rains). So bring a lunch, some friends and enjoy the sounds of summer.
