1. #FitnessGovPSA Twitter Challenge: Earlier this month, PCFSN launched its Physical Activity Outreach Initiative, which includes national TV, radio and print public service announcements (PSAs) featuring our co-chairs Drew Brees and Dominique Dawes! The PSAs educate and empower parents and caregivers about the importance of regular physical activity for their kids and the positive impact it can have on academic performance. The PSAs also help raise awareness of HHS’ Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, which recommends that children get at least 60 minutes of activity per day.
PCFSN challenges you to get outside and be active while on the lookout our Physical Activity PSAs, which are appearing nationwide now! The #FitnessGovPSA Twitter Challenge starts today, September 24, 2012 and will end midnight eastern standard time on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Send a photo photo of the PSA using #FitnessGovPSA! Please indicate where you saw the PSAs including cross-streets and city/state. PCFSN will add your tweet to the @FitnessGov Storify page.
2. JAM World Record 2012: This Thursday, September 27 at 10 am local time, both children and adults will do a fun, easy one-minute fitness routine as part of JAM World Record 2012 attempt.
