Get Some Great Health Tips while you lunch!

Are you looking to make changes in your physical activity and eating habits?  Join in one of the lunch & learns planned for this term.  All are free and open to anyone.  So, bring your lunch and learn how to make successful changes to Be Well!  Unless otherwise noted, all lunch & learns are in MU 109B.

Getting Started in Exercise – What Tools You Need To Be Successful
Jan 13th 12:10-12:55-Erika Hanselman

Physical activity comes in many forms and can be done just about anywhere! The key is finding activities that you enjoy and having the tools to be successful in the goals you have set for yourself. This session will give you just what you need to start an exercise program.

Got Motivation?
Jan. 20th 12:10-12:55-Deb – Rescheduled for February 10th due to University Closure

This session will mentally and physically get you ready to go exercise, go to Dixon, or any physical activity program. Are you lacking the motivation or just lacking the knowhow? This will give you all the tools to not only feel good when being physically activity but to look good while doing it! Come learn what to wear and what to bring before you exercise, go to the gym or engage in any type of physical activity program.

It’s all about choices
Tuesday, January 24th 12:05-12:55 –  with Tara Sanders and Lynn Cordes

Every day we are presented with choices around food: white or wheat toast, water or soda, chips or raw veggies, skipping lunch to be more productive. These little choices seem unimportant at the time, but really do add up over the long term. This introduction to healthy eating will allow you to evaluate your daily food choices and develop goals to make healthier decisions, one choice at a time.

Making it all Fit

It takes time to be healthy. This session will provide you with some tips and strategies to help manage your time and maintain balance.

It’s PARTY time!
Wednesday, February 8th 12:05-12:55, Marketplace West – with Tara Sanders and Lynn Cordes

You’re starting to get the hang of this healthier living thing and guess what? You are invited to a friend’s barbeque! You imagine all of the wonderful foods that will be there and start to get anxious about how to stay on track with healthy eating. This session is for you. Learn how to make healthier alternatives to party favorites so you can still enjoy without abandoning your healthy ways.

March 2nd 12:10-12:55 – with Rochelle Scwhab

Many times when a person is done with their goal of working out for 10 weeks, they do not know where to go from that point forward.  We will be discussing Life Habits to implement for the next 8 weeks that will carry you through your life to a healthier you.
