Here is a great way to start the new term! Join Westminster House United Campus Ministry at Oregon State University for an open labyrinth walk this coming Monday, January 9th in MU 109 from 10 AM – 2 PM.
The labyrinth walk provides an opportunity for reflection as one makes his or her way to the center, and then back out again. According to the website of Georgiana Lofty, Doctor of Ministry, facilitator of labyrinth presentations and the author of books Step-by-Step, How to Present the Labyrinth and Walking The Labyrinth A Spiritual Journey in Four Paths, “People, formal cultures, and traditions have used the spiral and labyrinth designs as a symbol of their search for meaning and guidance. The labyrinth is a “unicursal” or one path design – there are no tricks or decisions to be made – much as the surrender to walking a sacred spiritual path in life – our only decision is to choose spirit/God and surrender to divine guidance. The labyrinth is non -denominational. People of all faiths and people longing to re-connect to faith come to walk labyrinths”. Find out more about labyrinth walks on Georgiana Lofty’s website here.
Join in for a moment of peace and tranquility!
