Increased student involvement with the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation

OSU College of Pharmacy students were recognized in the APhA-ASP ‘virtual’ national award ceremony for initiating a new level of engagement in activities supporting interests of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF). Hailey Colangeli (’21) and Margaret Underwood (’21) did a terrific job of providing leadership for this group. Collectively our students increased student engagement in the Student Exchange Program, collaborated with the Diversity committee to increase the inclusivity of materials across populations, organized a book drive to support a pharmacy school in Ethiopia, and hosted events addressing health concerns that require a global awareness. Always an interest, but until now not a focus, our students have significantly advanced our awareness and commitment to international concerns.
