OSU College of Pharmacy Homecoming 2019

The weekend of October 11-12, 2019 marked Homecoming at Oregon State University. Pharmacy graduates from the classes of 1969, ’79, ’89, ’99, and ’09 gathered on campus for a number of pharmacy homecoming activities, and some had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends after 50 years!

Pharmacy graduates from each decade shared stories from their distinguished careers. Some recalled important moments from their time in pharmacy school and others spoke about the transformative nature of the pharmacy profession with stories that illustrated the many ways the profession has changed and continues to evolve.

On Saturday, October 12th, 2019 the OSU College of Reunion Classes shared lunch in the Horizon Room of the Memorial Union. These alumni enjoyed mingling with faculty and administration. Dr. George Constantine joined as a special guest for the Reunion festivities!

After the lunch social, reunion attendees were joined by other alumni, students, and faculty who met at the Pharmacy Building for the annual Dean’s Coffee. Alumni gathered in room 305 where they were welcomed back to the college by Dean Grace Kuo (’98) and current pharmacy students.

Before kick-off, alumni, students and faculty headed to the Pharmacy Tailgate event. Student event coordinators Bella Daher (’22) and Alexis Proteau (’22) joined faculty member Dr. Aleksandra Sikora and 2009 graduate Brian Zacher in hosting pizza, games, prizes, music and more!

Next year, the College will host the reunions of the “10s”! If you are in the classes of 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, or 2010, look for emails and postcards with reunion details for your class. To serve as a reunion greeter, please contact Paige Clark, (’85) Director of Alumni Relations. Now is the time to update your contact information here with the College to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information!
