ASHP Clinical Skills Competition

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Clinical Skills Competition (ASHP CSC) is an annual competition that occurs at the beginning of each school year. The CSC is comprised of a 2-hour written assessment followed by oral presentations. A total of 13 teams representing both Corvallis and Portland campuses participated in the CSC: five P2 teams, seven P3 teams, and one P4 team.

The written competition was held on Thursday, October 12 in which teams created a Pharmacist’s Care Plan for a given patient case. The results of the written competition are:

Top P2 team: Ha Nguyen and Maria Perez Herbison
2nd Place P2 team: Anna Brecheisen and Devon Heisler

Top P3 team: Kelli Kronsberg and Shannon O’Leary
2nd Place P3 team: Rusti Neukam and Andrew Tschernia

Top P4 team: Ana Beinvenida and Young Yoon Ham

The top 5 teams from the written competition, determined by a panel of 14 pharmacist judges, advanced to the oral presentations held on Thursday, October 19th:

The 1st place winners, P3s Kelli Kronsberg and Shannon O’Leary, represented the College in the national competition at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in Orlando, FL on December 2nd, 2017. Congratulations to all teams who participated in the ASHP CSC.
