Hello world!

One class I found especially beneficial was my leadership and management course. It was effective because it used active learning and real-world application. Instead of just memorizing theories, we worked on simulations, case studies, and roleplays that required applying concepts like motivation, communication, and team dynamics. This aligns with what the lecture mentioned about how effective training connects learning to real job behavior, in this case, I could clearly see how each concept related to managing people in real life. The instructor also provided ongoing feedback, which helped me assess my strengths and weaknesses throughout the course rather than just at the end.

On the other hand, I once took a mandatory online compliance training that was not beneficial. It was completely passive, just slides with text and a short quiz at the end. There was no engagement, relevance, or opportunity to practice what I learned. According to this week’s material, training is only effective when it includes clear goals, practice opportunities, and feedback. That training lacked all three, so it didn’t stick or change my behavior afterward.
