Librarian Chatting

Unfortunately messaging Jane Nichols, the Women Studies Librarian yielded no results. I emailed her on 4/26 and have yet to hear back. However, I did talk with a librarian from Ohio, via chat, who helped me a good deal. Considering the questions I was asking were rather vague I was not really expecting too much. The librarian who helped me guided me to a web page with a resume-like piece of Lucy Macdonald. He or she also suggested that I look into state assisted Developmental Disabilities Services to learn more about who/what Lucy Macdonald has been working with in the past. They also found a couple websites that may help me learn more about Scottish culture.

Lucy Macdonald – Activist through Technology

Lucy Macdonald is a disabled woman who is the Assistant Director of GimpGirl Community. She is from Scotland where she also chairs a local access panel  She studied Fine arts and has a Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Environmental Access and Design. Her “technology” is her contribution of design skills within GimpGirl. She facilitates team projects and administrative duties. I doubt I will be able to interview her face-to-face, but I believe I could conduct an email interview relatively easily.
