About Me
Hello, my name is Jay Alder and I recently completed my doctorate in Geography in the Geosciences department at Oregon State University. I am currently a research associate with a cooperative appointment between the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences (COAS) and the US Geological Survey (USGS). My primary research project revolves around a regional downscaling effort with the USGS to provide high resolution dynamically downscaled climate model simulations for the continental US and Canada (see here). My involvement with this project includes model output analysis, data dissemination, data management and visualization through interactive web applications.
