Oregon’s Call to Action: Ending Hunger Before it Begins

Mark Edwards (OSU School of Public Policy) & Patti Whitney-Wise (Oregon Hunger Task Force) welcome participants and share the objectives of the Ending Hunger in Oregon: 2012 Food Security Summit.

Check out Oregon’s Call to Action: 2010-2015, designed to guide collective efforts towards eradicating hunger in our state. Its three overarching goals are:

  1. To increase economic stability for people, communities, and the state.
  2. To cultivate a strong regional food system in Oregon.
  3. To improve the food assistance safety net.

Over the past few years, much progress has been made. See the reports for the Act to End Hunger, 2004-2009!

Please share your comments as to why you’re engaged in this movement to grow healthy food access for Oregonians!
